Eyedropper Step-by-Step Manual

Sometimes simple colours are just not enough: precise hues must be added to the board or match an existing sample. Conceptboard has developed an eyedropper tool to facilitate exact color matching where it matters. Eyedropper is an onboard tool that helps you to identify colours and hues and add them to your personal colour palette.

The eyedropper can be found via the colour menu of shapes or other board elements and allows for:

  • Selecting colours from a colour spectrum
  • Adding hex codes of user-defined colours
  • Identifying hues of media on the board and apply them to other elements

Important note: The eyedropper is supported only in Chrome and Opera browsers.

Let's get started

Step 1: Create a shape.

Step 2: Select the shape. A floating menu will appear above it.

Step 3: Select the colour icon. A fall-down menu will appear below it. Select the plus icon.

Step 4: You will be taken to the personal colours menu automatically. The color wheel will appear. There you can choose up to 50 colours by hovering over the spectrum or by entering a hex code. Select the eyedropper icon.

Step 5: The eyedropper tool will turn into a circle with a nucleus. You can hover with it over the whole board. The tool identifies exact hues and their hex codes. When the needed hue is found, just click once and it will be added to your personal colours palette.
