Team Templates

You cannot find what you need in our template library? - Create your own!

The Team Templates feature allows Conceptboard users with professional (PRO) licenses to save boards as templates that can be used by the whole team.

ℹ️ Plan and Role restrictions

Team templates are available for Premium, Business, Enterprise or Education plans. 

Team members with editor board access rights can publish and insert team templates on boards. Reviewers and readers can only see already inserted templates. 

Publish a Team Template

Any member of the team can create a new team template if they follow these steps:

1. Open the Board menu and select the option Save as team template

2. Choose the template name, language and optionally write a description of the template content

3. Click on Save to publish the Team template

After publication, the template can be found under Team templates.

Insert a Team Template

1. Open the Insert menu (or press I) and select Insert Template

2. On the side menu, select Team templates

3. Use the search bar to find the template by its name or sort with the language dropdown to narrow results

4. Select a template to see it’s details and click on Insert template to add it to your board

Delete a Team Template

Team templates can be deleted by their owner (creator) or by a team administrator. To delete a team template follow these steps:

1. Open the Insert menu (or press I) and select Insert Template

2. On the side menu, select Team templates

3. Select the template to delete

4. On the template details page, click on the three dots (more options menu) on the upper right side of the window

5. Select Delete template and confirm the permanent deletion of the template

❗️ Deleting a team template does not delete the original board used to publish the template!

Edit a Team Template

If you would like to edit a team template, follow these steps:

1. Open a new board and insert the team template you wish to edit

2. Make the necessary changes on the board

3. Publish the board as a new team template

❗️If you wish to use the same template name, please delete the old template after completing step 2.

Enable the Team Template Feature

Team Templates feature must be first enabled by the team administrator on the Team Settings page, as it is "off" by default:

How to convert a board load link into a team template

Any company-restricted load links created before the release of the team templates feature continue to function. However, we recommend to convert these boards into team templates. This action allows all team members to easily insert these templates on their boards.

To convert a load link into a team template, follow these steps:

1. Login into your Conceptboard account and open the load link

2. Open the Board menu and select the option Save as team template

3. Choose the template name, language and optionally write a description of the template content

4. Click on Save to publish the Team template

After the publication, converted templates can be found under Team templates.

❗️Important note: Conceptboard provides limited support for the creation of new load links after the release of the Team Templates feature. Teams can create new template board libraries at their own discretion.
