Conceptboard Tables allow users to display information visually when they need to read, compare and manage data. 

ℹ️ Plan and Role restrictions

Tables are available for Premium, Business, Enterprise or Education plans. 

Team members with editor board access rights can create and edit tables. Reviewers and readers can only see the content of tables.

Create a table

To create a new table, select the Table tool (or press D) and click on the area where the table should be inserted. After inserting the table, you can start typing to enter text directly into the first cell.Tables 1 (Default Size).gif

To create a new table with custom size, select the table tool (or press D) and click and drag the mouse over the area where the table should be inserted.

Type in cells

To type in a cell, activate the text input mode for the cell via double-click. The height of the cell is adjusted to fit the text.Tables 3 (Type text).gif

Add rows and columns

There are several options to add rows and columns to your table:

  1. Select the table and click on the Add row/column options on the floating toolbar
  2. Select the table and click on the + near the table borders
  3. Select the row or column and click on the + near the cell edge

Remove rows and columns

To remove rows and columns from your table, select the row or column and click on the Delete row/column option on the floating toolbar. This will delete the selected row or column.Tables 5 (Remove column).gif

Customise cells, rows, columns and the whole table

You can customise colour and font properties for each cell.

To change cell colour:

  1. Select the table with a click
  2. Select the cell with a second click
  3. Change the colour using the floating toolbar options

You can also apply colour changes to rows, columns or table as a whole.Tables 6 (Cell color).gif

To change a cell’s font properties:

  1. Activate the cell text input mode by double-clicking
  2. Change the font properties using the floating toolbar options

Resize rows, columns and tables

To resize a row or a column, click and drag its border line.

To resize a table, click and drag a corner.Tables 8 (Resize).gif

Select cells via keyboard

To navigate between cells, select a cell with one click and use the TAB or arrow keys to move to the next cell. To enable the text edit mode for a selected cell, press ENTER.Tables 9 (Keyboard).gif

❗️Important note: The tables feature doesn’t support the following functions

  • Export/import CSV
  • Add content to tables (images, shapes, stickies) and automatically adjust the cell size
    • However, users can move other objects over tables and adjust the cell size manually to fit the content
  • Change border colour
  • Merge cells
  • Make cell calculations
